Open joints are checked for depth, moisture, loose material and damage. Local repairs are discussed before work starts.
Mortar, colour and joint profile are matched to the masonry and the desired appearance.
Fresh mortar is carefully packed into the joints to create an even, well-filled joint.
The joint surface is finished at the correct stage, for example smooth or lightly brushed.
Mortar residue is removed carefully while protecting the brickwork. Window and detail connections are checked.
The work is allowed to cure correctly, followed by a final inspection and clean handover.

Dutch price guides show a broad range of roughly €15–€100 per m² depending on joint type, with decorative work higher. Belgian sources indicate about €8–€12 per m² for basic flush pointing and €60–€110 for cut/ruled joints. German market sources show around €35–€80 per m² for many standard masonry applications. UK Checkatrade guidance lists about £50–£60 per m² for standard brickwork and £60–£100 for stone. The example is therefore priced as a complete professional project rather than as a bare m² rate.
The displayed price is an example for approximately 80 m². Actual pricing depends on joint type, depth, brick, access, scaffolding, substrate, colour, repairs, weather and material prices. Prices differ between the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the UK due to labour, VAT, transport and material conditions. We provide a final quotation after assessment. The budget includes an operating and risk reserve, but final profit depends on actual costs.
