Step by step · how the project is executed

01

Inspection & measurement

We measure the façade, inspect the bricks and joints, assess access and identify areas requiring extra care.

02

Protection & setup

Windows, frames, paving and surrounding areas are protected. Work zones are set up with dust control, waste handling and safe access.

03

Raking out / removing joints

Existing mortar is carefully removed to a sound base. The method is selected according to brick type, façade age and condition.

04

Cleaning & inspection

Loose material is removed, joints are brushed clean and the masonry is checked for damage or areas requiring repair.

05

Waste removal & preparation

Old mortar and debris are collected and disposed of. The façade is left clean and ready for the new pointing system.

06

Final inspection & handover

We check depth, consistency, connections and cleanliness and discuss any next steps such as repointing or local brick repairs.

2026 market comparison · international reference

Dutch market guides indicate roughly €25–€45 per m² for joint removal/raking out depending on method and conditions. Belgian guides quote about €33–€42 per m² for removing joints. German sources show broader masonry joint ranges around €35–€80 per m², while UK guidance lists roughly £20–£50 per m² for raking out. These are market references, not direct quotations; access, scaffolding, façade type and waste disposal can change the price materially.

Important · example price, not a fixed quotation

This is an example project. The final price may change due to actual façade dimensions, joint depth, brick condition, height, access, scaffolding, disposal, weather and additional repairs. Material and supplier prices can also change. We issue a final quotation after assessing the property. The budget includes an operating and risk reserve, but a specific profit margin is never guaranteed because actual costs can differ.
